Faking It gets real in season premiere
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, August 31. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Faking It (MTV, 9:30 p.m.): Faking It returns, and in the season three premiere, Shane leads a revolution when a new principle comes to Hester and tries to crack down on the progressive behaviors of Hester students. Meanwhile, Amy becomes convinced that Karma is hiding a secret, which she definitely is, because Karma is the worst. We’re hoping season three of Faking It finally allows Amy to realize that and also that Karma doesn’t sing any songs. Nobody wants that, Karma! We’re also hoping for more Lauren in season three.
Also noted
Awkward (MTV, 9 p.m.): Awkward also returns to MTV tonight, picking up shortly after spring break, where we ended last season. Jenna is busy trying to not think about Matty, but of course she can’t help think about Matty. These two! They’re always getting in their own way of being together. But graduation is on the horizon, so they need to GTSFO (an acronym we imagine Tamara would create for “get their shit figured out”). Welcome back, Awkward.
