Fall schedule news: Michael Emerson and Sarah Michelle Gellar get TV shows too
Not one to be left out of all of today’s late-breaking pilot pick-up madness, even if trying new things isn’t really their bag, CBS has also moved forward on a couple of pilots. As previously reported, J.J. Abrams will get together with fellow Lost alum Michael Emerson on Person Of Interest, the series scripted by Jonathan Nolan about a mysterious billionaire (Emerson) who recruits a presumed-dead ex-CIA agent to help him prevent crimes in New York; fittingly, that resurrected CIA agent will be played by Jesus himself, Jim Caviezel. And on the comedy side, the network has also picked up Two Broke Girls, the slumming Sex And The City from that show’s writer Michael Patrick King and disproportionately popular comic Whitney Cummings, which will star Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as two twentysomethings who discover that living in New York is hard and stuff.
