Earth has had it with these Martians in trailer for For All Mankind season 5

Apple TV's long-running alt-history, For All Mankind, reaches 2012 for a little Martian motocross action

Earth has had it with these Martians in trailer for For All Mankind season 5

For All Mankind is creeping closer to the present. The trailer for the fifth season of Apple TV’s long-running alternate timeline space race has arrived, and along with it, glimpses at the political fight between Earth and Mars, the motocross action on the Martian mountains, and what the makeup artists, drunk on their own power, have done to Joel Kinnaman this season. He’s older than ever in 2012, when the President campaigns on cutting funding to the Martian colony Happy Valley, as poor Margo Madison rots in a prison. It’s really been a rough couple of decades for this character. Meanwhile, the colony is undergoing a political transformation itself, with the Martians appearing to stage a revolution to make their off-world colony an independent nation. Ben Franklin would be proud.

Here’s the synopsis:

Season five of For All Mankind picks up in the years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist. Happy Valley has grown into a thriving colony with thousands of residents and a base for new missions that will take us even further into the solar system. But with the nations of Earth now demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction continues to build between the people who live on Mars and their former home.

For All Mankind returns to Apple TV on March 27.
