Fox is testing out a new game show from Judge Judy
She may have already locked down a contract renewal and her TV rights, but Judge Judy Sheindlin isn’t resting on her gavels. Deadline reports that the small-screen’s most famous adjudicator (sorry, Judge Mathis) has just scored a test deal with Fox for a new game show she created. Sheindlin’s Queen Bee Productions is developing iWitness along with FremantleMedia North America and Debmar-Mercury. The game show, which will be hosted by Wipeout’s John Henson, features three contestants who will be tested on “what they’ve just witnessed… through video clips and images spanning the media landscape,” and compete for a $20,000 grand prize.
Sheindlin will get some help executing all this memory testing from her showrunner and Scott St. John, a game show vet who previously worked on Match Game, Celebrity Name Game, and Deal or No Deal. iWitness (a working title), which is being tested this summer on “select Fox O&Os in top markets, including New York,” isn’t part of Sheindlin’s CBS production deal, which calls for more judge shows.
