The new George Clooney-directed film Suburbicon takes place in an idyllic 1950s suburb where a family man (Matt Damon) stages a home invasion to get rid of his wife (Julianne Moore), but—shockingly—things go awry. The movie contrasts the façade of 1950s suburbia with weightier themes like social inequality and racism.
