Hellraiser summoned for remake

Halloween-time is that magical time of year when every horror franchise may magically request a life extension, and the great Demon-Father of Hollywood cannot say no. So it's only in the spirit of the season that the Weinstein Co. is planning a remake of Hellraiser, the 1987 Clive Barker-penned thriller that, naturally, spawned a few sequels, including 2005's awesomely named Hellraiser: Deader. Apparently, Barker has signaled his approval. (Hollywood Reporter via Reuters)

UPDATE: While we're at it, Bloody-Disgusting notes that the new 30 Days Of Night may also be due for a sequel.
