In a move that no one envisioned while re-watching the third season of The Wire, the star of Luther and Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance and all-around easy-on-the-eyes actor Idris Elba is set to star in a biopic of young Nelson Mandela. According to Indiewire,while making the press rounds for Ghost Rider: Nic Cage’s Box Office Revenge, Elba confirmed rumors that he’ll be playing Madiba in an adaptation of Mandela’s prison memoir Long Walk To Freedom. The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper was originally floating around the project, but with Elba attached, who knows who’ll step forward?
