In an effort to address its lack of gay characters, CBS to finally add some lesbian softball players
In an effort to combat its annual dressing-down from GLAAD, CBS has committed itself to addressing the lack of gay characters on its network. “We’re not happy with ourselves,” CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said at the Television Critics Association press tour, sounding like she could definitely use a pep talk from a sassy gay friend. So without “the couple of [LGBT-related] pieces in development” that were, for whatever reason, not picked up, how will the network rectify its underrepresentation of the homosexual lifestyle? By adding a gay character for William Shatner to make fun of on $#*! My Dad Says, bringing in a gay brother on The Good Wife, and introducing a lesbian softball player on Rules Of Engagement. So along with Ragan “America’s Next Top Bottom” Fox on Big Brother, that should pretty much do it, right?
