John Mulaney and, yes, Druski are on deck to host SNL

The rumors and reports are true: Druski will be hosting an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. As to whether he’s the first “online content creator” to host the show—as Variety claimed when it reported the news earlier this month—is a bit more debatable, as plenty of people have pointed out that Quinta Brunson and Issa Rae were both online content creators before they landed TV series. Is Druski the first online content creator to host that hasn’t yet been legitimized by a television network in that way? Is SNL the thing that will legitimize Druski as not merely an “online content creator”? Or is does that fact that Druski has a scripted Netflix series coming out in December challenge this whole premise? Anyway, The Strokes will be the musical guest for that November 7 episode.
