Deadline is reporting that Full House and Scream Queens star John Stamos is developing a new project about his past life as a soap opera star. Still untitled, the new show would be a period piece set in the ’80s, when Stamos got his start as streetwise foster kid Blackie Parrish on General Hospital.

Stamos is developing the series with Craig Zadan and Neil Maron, who recently had a TV success story with The Wiz Live! The new show—which is being put together at Universal TV—will center on a young actor working to navigate “the temptations of sex, drugs and fame” after he’s cast on a major soap. Promising plenty of lurid details, the show’s being described as “Boogie Nights in the soap world,” albeit, presumably, with more “Have mercy”s and fewer massive prosthetic dicks.
