Ken Marino to join Eastbound & Down and, yes, the Veronica Mars movie

Another day, another piece of the Veronica Mars Kickstarter movie casting confirmations puzzle. Following the news that Max Greenfield will return as Deputy Leo, it's been confirmed that Kristen Bell will also be reunited with her rival Party Down caterer Ken Marino, reprising his role of Vinnie Van Lowe. Included in that news is that the movie will also introduce a new character for Martin Starr, fueling speculation that the film will involve Bell's plucky detective finally solving the mystery of whether there will be a Party Down movie.

But wait, there's more Marino: He's also been cast in the final season of Eastbound & Down, playing "a middle-aged athlete who's still living the high life and partying it up every weekend"—a character who will no doubt provide a very sharp contrast to Kenny Powers. But is he partying it up every weekend? Or partying… down?
