For non-wizard people, one of the most daunting aspects of living a magical life in the Harry Potter universe has got to be remembering all of those crazy spells. Not only are there tons of them, but some of the spells seen in the movies are so specific that it seems incredibly likely that a novice wizard could easily mistake the “make a snake appear” spell for the “make a snake burst into flames” spell. Or what if you’re trying to impress your cool Death Eater friends by shooting a Dark Mark into the sky, but you accidentally turn a bird into a cup instead? That would be mortifying, and not just because Lord Voldemort would probably kill you for it.
Thankfully, a guy named Davide Rapp has put together a handy supercut that’ll help any aspiring wizard person learn the spells they might need to know by alphabetizing every single one used in the Harry Potter movies. It won’t really help you get a better handle on the alphabet, as some letters aren’t used at all and some are used a bunch, but you get the highlights of the ABCs at least.
