Listen to Boris, Shonen Knife, and a bunch of other Japanese bands take on My Bloody Valentine's Loveless

My Bloody Valentine might be a cult favorite in the states, but in Japan, it's huge. On the eve of some possible new material from the group and a short run of Asian and Australian tour dates, Japanese label High Fader has put out a compilation of some of the country’s biggest indie bands paying tribute to MBV’s Loveless. The record—which is called Yellow Loveless, for whatever reason—is out now, and quite a few of the tracks are streaming on YouTube, including Shonen Knife’s poppy take on “When You Sleep” and Boris’ appropriately fuzzy “Sometimes.” A full tracklist, along with a few of tracks, is below.
