It’s been six years since Brooklyn-via-Washington D.C. grindcore trio Magrudergrind released new music, but that’s all about to change with the release of II this Friday on Relapse Records. II shows that Magrudergrind hasn’t softened a bit in those six years, though it did inexplicably score a cameo on HBO’s Veep in that time. Instead, the trio is as vicious as ever, tearing though its hardcore-inspired grindcore with reckless abandon. The A.V. Club is streaming all of II below, which was recorded by Converge’s Kurt Ballou at his famous GodCity studio, and even features Infest’s Joe Denunzio taking up a guest vocal spot on “Husayni / Handschar.”
