Marvel’s Iron Fist (2017)

Release date: March 17, 2017
The story: Danny Rand loses his parents in a plane crash in the Himalayas and almost dies himself before being rescued by monks from the Order Of The Crane. They take him to the mystical city of K’un-Lun, where he’s trained to become the enemy of the Hand, a shadowy group that’s infiltrated his family’s company (they’ve got their hands in a lot of Hell’s Kitchen pies, really). One dragon-heart-related ritual later, Danny ostensibly becomes the Iron Fist, who is destined to become the final member of The Defenders. But he can’t quite forget about his earthly ties. So he heads back to New York to reclaim what’s his, where he’s thwarted by the Meachum family, his lack of business sense, and said shadowy organization. Like so many other crimefighters before him, Danny struggles with his dual life, in which he helps head a company by day and saves the city by night. What few connections he does establish are mostly broken by season’s end, so he could really use some friends—like say, his Hell’s Kitchen neighbors, who are now right around the corner?
