Michael Rooker will also be in Guardians Of The Galaxy, as a guardian we didn't expect to see in the galaxy
While it was believed only the raccoons and trees were left to be cast Guardians Of The Galaxy, it seems James Gunn has gone to unexpectedly extra lengths to get his Slither and Super pal Michael Rooker back on set with him again. Specifically, all the way to Centauri IV, where Gunn has cast The Walking Dead star as Yondu Udonta, a primitive yet noble bow-hunter who’s also a founding member of the original Guardians. Yondu’s presence suggests the film will find a way to link the first incarnation of the superhero team with that more recent one inhabited by Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, and Dave Batista’s Drax the Destroyer, thus satisfying diehard Marvel fans and generally bemusing everyone else. It also suggests that Rooker actually had a good reason to shave his hair into a mohawk recently, other than the fact that he’s Michael Rooker and he can do whatever he wants.
