Ensuring that streaming day will continue to be a very dangerous day, Nickelodeon announced this morning that it’s just sold two new TV movies reviving beloved “kids” series Rocko’s Modern Life and Invader Zim—the “kids” in quotes there because both of those shows tended to fall pretty far on the “whoa, that’s fucked up” scale of children’s entertainment—to Netflix. Both of these projects, the Rocko revival movie Static Cling and Zim follow-up Enter The Florpus, have been previously talked about and previewed by the children’s entertainment channel/nostalgia delivery vector, but they’ve now been handed off to the streaming giant for actual distribution.
