Pete Holmes bombs in the Crashing trailer
Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste
HBO is all in on Pete Holmes. Earlier this month we got a look at his stand-up special for the network, and now there’s a trailer for his series, Crashing. In it, Holmes plays a comedian who finds his wife (Lauren Lapkus) cheating on him. That revelation leads to some bad jokes, and to a nomadic lifestyle where he finds himself bouncing from couch to couch. Hence, the show’s title—not to be confused with the British series from Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, which has the same exact name. Holmes’ show is semi-autobiographical. His character is a goody two-shoes for the world he occupies: No, he doesn’t do drugs, and that’s not a side chick on his phone, it’s his mom. Crashing will provide giggles in the winter months starting February 19.
