Pregnant Beyoncé will reportedly perform at the Grammys

While the internet was obsessing over Beyoncé’s maternity photoshoot and speculating as to what she was going to name her twins, she was reportedly prepping for a Grammys performance. Entertainment Tonight reports that Beyoncé is on the bill for the February 12 show, and notes that she was “spotted on Thursday rehearsing at a secret location in Los Angeles, California, with a glam squad, camera crew and her team of dancers all in tow.” The ceremony could—let’s rephrase: probably will—be big for Beyoncé, who leads in nominations, and is up for Album, Record, and Song Of The Year.

Though the Grammys could have been a platform for Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement, perhaps she thought she’s been there, done that. Instead she posted an image from a shoot by photographer Awol Erizku to her Instagram to let the world know she is expecting. Regardless, this means hers will be one of the most talked about appearances of the night—though it would have been even if she weren’t planning to give birth any time soon. Chance The Rapper and Adele are also set to perform.
