Psych says goodbye, somehow without running up behind you and yelling, “PSYCH!”
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Wednesday, March 26. All times are Eastern.
TOP PICK
Psych (USA, 9 p.m.): We haven’t always covered this show, and we gradually let it go for what turned out to be its last season. But we’ve never met a series we couldn’t drop in on for its final episode, and that’s what we’re doing right now. There are so many questions left to answer (we assume)! Like will anybody catch on that Shawn is making all of this up, and he’ll be ruined in the press? And will he and Juliet end up together forever? Are the answers to these questions “almost certainly”? Well, never mind. Kevin McFarland was only watching for the leads’ chemistry anyway.
ALSO NOTED
Modern Family (ABC, 9 p.m.): It’s not a Modern Family season if the whole family doesn’t take a vacation at the drop of a hat. This week, everybody’s headed to Las Vegas, and Joshua Alston hopes the episode is about Phil feeling an irresistible draw to the Wheel Of Fortune-themed slot machines.
The Americans (FX, 10 p.m.): After last week’s cliffhanger, we have trouble believing that any fan of the show would decide not to watch tonight. But maybe you won’t! So take Todd VanDerWerff and Genevieve Koski’s word for it: This episode is another humdinger!
Broad City (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.): We’ve been pleasantly surprised by just how quickly this show—which we already found promising at its beginning—found its voice. Caroline Framke bids farewell to the show and is so happy she won’t have to do so forever.
