Sabrina Carpenter scored some, uh, unexpected free promo for her new single “Manchild” yesterday, and now it has a music video to boot. The “Espresso” singer hasn’t quite gone country in her new play for song of the summer, but she is going across the country—in a series of increasingly ridiculous vehicles—in the new video.

This morning’s clip takes Carpenter on an Americana-infused adventure that could have been a full-fledged movie (one that would probably look a lot like Sydney Sweeney and Halsey’s new Western) in another life. The pop star initially grabs a ride in a goofy, trunkless van before hitchhiking onto a truck filled with trees, a road-ready jet ski, a shopping cart hitched to a scooter, and an easy chair on wheels. Along the way, she shoots some pool (literally, with a shotgun), gets shot at herself, meets an orca and a cowboy chicken, and falls off a cliff. (She survives, of course.) That’s a road trip for the books.

“i wrote manchild on a random tuesday with amy and jack not too long after finishing short n’ sweet and it ended up being the best random tuesday of my life,” Carpenter wrote in an Instagram post celebrating the single’s release yesterday. “thank you always and forever for listening and thank you men for testing me!!”

Are we headed into yet another summer of Sabrina Carpenter? We’ll see. For now, you can watch the “Manchild” video below:
