Sorry To Bother You, Chicago, but we've got a free advance screening

Sorry To Bother You is one of our most anticipated films of the summer, starring Atlanta’s Keith Stanfield and Thor: Ragnarok’s Tessa Thompson in a surreal comedy about code-switching that premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival (where The A.V. Club’s A.A. Dowd gave it a dissenting negative review). Stanfield stars as Cassius Green, an Oakland telemarketer whose prowess with “white voice” (provided by David Cross) attracts the attention of coke-snorting CEO Steve Lift (Armie Hammer). Cassius’ girlfriend, anarchic performance artist Detroit (Thompson), however, is less than impressed with his corporate mobility.

Assuming you live in Chicago, you can decide for yourself at an upcoming screening of Sorry To Bother You at the AMC River East (322 E. Illinois St.) this coming Tuesday, July 3, at 7:00 p.m. We’re giving away 75 admit-two passes to the screening; to enter to win yours, just follow this link, create an account, and enter some basic information. Just be sure to arrive early, as these screenings are always overbooked to ensure a full house. Sorry if that’s a bother.
