Steven Spielberg becomes first director to cross $10 billion in worldwide box office
Apparently it pays to be a reliable filmmaker who has directed some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful blockbusters of all time, as Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Steven Spielberg has recently become the first director to have made more than $10 billion at the worldwide box office. That’s according to Box Office Mojo’s data, which notes that it was the success of Ready Player One that pushed Spielberg past this ridiculously huge milestone. (Maybe The Post could’ve set the total last year if it had included more Gundams and Stanley Kubrick references?)
