It’s been 16 years since Tara Lipinski won the gold in women’s figure skating at the Nagano Olympics, back when she was just a teenager. Since Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night run concludes at the same time the Winter Olympics begin—and NBC is getting in some final marketing integration—the show booked Lipinski for a skit that shows she’s still got plenty of talent on the ice.
The Big Lipinksi sees the gold medalist performing a Big Lebowski-themed routine at the Rockefeller Center ice rink while in costume as The Dude, complete with White Russian. Impressively, she only spills a little bit of it during that final spin (presumably having been cautioned beforehand, “Careful man, there’s a beverage here!”). If only there were a skater bold enough to reprise this routine for the free skate portion in Sochi.
