In anticipation for the November premiere of Spectre, YouTube user Tony D has linked footage from the Spectre teaser trailer to ’90s classic Inspector Gadget. Presenting the films simultaneously in what Tony D dubs Inspectre, the plot parallels are uncanny to say the least.

The 60-second clip opens by coupling Eve Moneypenny and Brenda as the female counterparts to James Bond and Inspector Gadget respectively, and continues by documenting the action-packed struggles and triumphs of the agents throughout their quests for justice. Along the way both men find love and wisdom in unlikely places, with Inspector Gadget looking to Sore Guru as Mr. White suggests, “You’re a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond.”
