The Book Of Mormon is finally going to Sal Tlay Ka Siti
The touring production of Broadway’s The Book Of Mormon is headed right for the audience that would politely condemn it the most, with a string of shows set next summer for Utah’s Capitol Theatre. That’s right in the heart of Salt Lake City, home of friendly warlords and all-you-can-eat flour, and just a sensible bike ride from the headquarters of the Church of Latter-Day Saints the show is dedicated to lampooning. Still, while you might imagine the Church organizing angry protests of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s musical about how their religion is steeped in ridiculousness—even on the relative sliding scale of religions—you clearly aren’t familiar with Mormons.
