The clock’s still ticking in the trailer for 24: Legacy

Fox is gearing up to reintroduce the world to running, shouted cell phone conversation, and smartass questions about bathroom breaks, with its 24 sequel series Legacy scheduled to debut immediately after the Super Bowl on February 5, 2017. To build anticipation for all that frantically paced intrigue, the network has released a new trailer for the upcoming series, featuring stars Corey Hawkins and Miranda Otto, and the series’ most important returning cast member: the ticking clock that “beep beeps” at every commercial break.

The plot of the series centers on Hawkins, a member of a military team that took down an Osbama Bin-Laden figure, and who’s now being targeted for terrorist reprisals. He’s forced to seek help from Otto, who plays the new head of the franchise’s amazingly ineffectual counter-terrorism unit, CTU, with Jimmy Smits as her politically hopeful husband. Meanwhile, Carlos Bernard, who played Tony Almeida on the original show, has also been scheduled to return.
