The Jacob’s Ladder remake casts a new guy to transcendentally freak out
Currently relegated to a cult following and samples in a few UNKLE songs, Jacob’s Ladder is a 1990 movie directed by Adrian Lyne that centers around a Vietnam vet experiencing a damning case of PTSD that includes horrible visions of an infernal world beyond. And while plans have been in the works to remake the film since at least 2013, but there’s finally traction on the film. According to Deadline, the film will still be based on a script by Jeff Buhler (and Sarah Thorp), and will be directed by David M. Rosenthal, who is reuniting with his The Perfect Guy lead, Michael Ealy. Principal photography is set to start in May, and the story is “a modern-day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.”
