The Make-A-Wish Foundation will turn San Francisco into Gotham City for a 5-year-old Batman fan
Back in 2010, the Make-A-Wish Foundation helped 13-year-old Erik “Electron Boy” Martin saved the imprisoned Seattle Sounders from Dr. Dark and Blackout Boy with an assist from Spider-Man and a Delorean. This November 15, the Greater Bay Area chapter of the foundation will bring the comic book dream of Miles, a 5-year-old leukemia patient in the Bay Area, to life. He’ll spend the day as Batkid, performing heroic deeds around San Francisco, and even rescuing San Francisco Giants mascot Lou Seal—and the organization is looking for volunteers to watch Miles receive the key to the city from Mayor Ed Lee at City Hall.
