TNT cancels Men Of A Certain Age
[Introductory phrase in which we dispense with the obligatory “despite solid critical praise”], TNT has decided not to renew Men Of A Certain Age, the naturalistic drama that approached the male midlife crisis in an honest and frequently poignant way, but failed to insert lots of sex with young girls like, say, Californication. The news comes a day after Andre Braugher scored his second supporting actor Emmy nod for his role, and only a couple of months after the show picked up a prestigious Peabody Award. Unfortunately, what it didn’t pick up were viewers: Ratings continued to lag far behind other TNT shows like Rizzoli And Isles and the new Falling Skies, with Men averaging only a 0.4 share in the all-important 18-49 demographic. The Scott Bakula Relocation Efforts begin now, hopefully.
