Tonight it’s you, me, and the robot apocalypse

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, March 20. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Humans (AMC, 10 p.m.): AMC’s running another twofer tonight to bring Humans’ second season to a close. Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley’s little sci-fi show has never garnered close to the amount of attention that Westworld rightly has, despite having similar themes. Humans is almost the inverse of that HBO drama—its AI-imbued androids or “synths” have long since made their way into society instead of being tucked away in some remote location. The questions of morality become even more urgent as we consider the humans’ treatment of their inorganic helpers, who clearly represent marginalized groups. As episodes seven and eight loom, there are more conscious synths than ever, and they’re now armed with the means for a real uprising. But is that their goal? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
