Trump regime now making anti-immigrant video games for the kids

The Trump era has made life tough for a lot (a lot) of people, but perhaps creators of fictional dystopias have it the worst. On Thursday, the official White House website launched a series of video games (presumably paid for by you) in which children (and child-brained adults) can, among other tasks, round up non-white people. You can just imagine someone in RoboCop rushing out to buy that for a dollar right alongside Nukem

In Rio Run, an artless ripoff of old computer game Snake, players take the form of “border czar” Tom Homan (every kid’s dream!), as you transform orange jumpsuit-wearing human beings—most of whom are depicted in various shades of brown skin—into a Human Centipede 3-style chain gang. The Republican ethnic cleansing campaign continues with a Tetris clone called Build The Wall, where, according to the description, your goal is to “protect the border from the coming horde.”

These blatant examples of shovelware-level propaganda are just a few of the bargain bin digital amusements cooked up by a White House Communications office already churning out AI slop. There’s also the tellingly titled Trump Savings Tycoon, where greedy players scramble to hoard gold bars and handfuls of cash—to fill one of those sketchy Trump savings accounts for babies, naturally. Flappy Bill (one guess what’s getting ripped off there) sees players pilot and eagle navigating those pesky Washington checks and balances (in the form of national monuments Trump is currently defacing) in order to pass right-wing legislation. And Supply Line apes Root Beer Tapper, with school kids presumably learning how to avoid vaccinations along with seed oils.

Of course, authoritarian regimes designing hateful propaganda in the form of children’s games is nothing new. But just imagine what Joseph Goebbels could have done with low-rent Flash animation.
