Watch TV On The Radio's entire Nine Types Of Light film
Today saw the official release of TV On The Radio’s Nine Types Of Light, accompanied by predictable hype from equally predictable critics. And when you tire of looking at writers attempting to explain why this album rates among their best even though it’s slightly more subdued, the band has provided a much more intriguing visual accompaniment in the form of its hour-long eponymous companion film, which was also released today. As we told you before, it interweaves individual music videos for every track (created by the band and its filmmaker friends) with interviews the group did with New Yorkers on various heady topics, then throws in random bits of weirdness. You can check out Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone talking about how the project came to be in this New York Times interview, or better yet, you could just watch the whole thing right now on YouTube.
