What's on TV this week—Euphoria and Beef finally return

Welcome to What’s On, our weekly roundup of notable shows. Here is what’s happening on TV from Sunday, April 12 to Saturday, April 18. All times are Eastern.

New this week

Euphoria (HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m., season three premiere)

Four long years after we last caught up with Rue (Zendaya), Nate (Jacob Elordi), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), and the rest of the Euphoria crew, the HBO drama returns for its third and final season. A time jump accounts for that delay, finding the characters as twentysomethings wrestling with career struggles, the consequences of their actions, and, of course, plenty of chaos. The A.V. Club will recap the show.

The Audacity (AMC, Sunday, 9 p.m., series premiere)

This Jonathan Glatzer-created Silicon Valley satire, which has already been renewed for a second season, stars Billy Magnussen as ambitious tech CEO Duncan Park and Sarah Goldberg as Dr. Joanne Felder, the therapist who has to deal with not only his absurd ego but also a scandal fueled by the exploitation of personal data. Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath, Zach Galifianakis, Randall Park, and Simon Belberg also appear. The A.V. Club will recap the AMC series.

Margot’s Got Money Troubles (Apple TV, Wednesday, 12 a.m., series premiere)

Fresh off her Sentimental Value Oscar nom, Elle Fanning leads this David E. Kelley dramedy. She tackles Margot Millet, who is juggling an unconventional family—her mom (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) is a Hooters waitress and dad (portrayed by Nick Offerman) is a former pro wrestler—as well as a surprise pregnancy. As the young single mother watches the bills pile up, she joins OnlyFans to make ends meet. The starry ensemble also includes Greg Kinnear, Marcia Gay Harden, and Nicole Kidman. Look for The A.V. Club’s review on Tuesday.

Beef (Netflix, Thursday, 3 a.m., season two premiere)

The Netflix phenom welcomes a brand-new cast and beef, following newly engaged Gen Z-ers Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin (Charles Melton) and their country-club boss Joshua (Oscar Isaac) and his wife, Lindsay (Carey Mulligan). After witnessing an intense fight between the latter, the younger couple sparks a blackmail war. Check out The A.V. Club’s review on Thursday.
