1 dead, more than 1,000 seek treatment at Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival
According to Billboard, this weekend’s Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas left one attendee dead and over 1,000 seeking medical treatment. The story says that temperatures were nearly at 100 degrees at midnight on the last night of the three-day festival, but police wouldn’t specifically say why those 1,000 people sought medical treatment, just that 16 people were taken to hospitals and the rest were treated on-site. As for the person who died, authorities have confirmed that he’s a 35-year-old man named Michael Adam Morse, but they haven’t announced how he died or even where he was from. On top of that, police say they made 95 felony arrests, mostly for drug-related offenses, and 282 people were kicked out of the festival.
