50/50’s Jonathan Levine might direct untitled Amy Schumer mom-com
Jonathan Levine, director of 50/50 and The Wackness, is in talks to direct Trainwreck star and writer Amy Schumer’s next film. Still untitled, the Paul Feig-produced action-comedy will star Schumer as the younger half of a mother-daughter pair who find themselves kidnapped while on vacation in Brazil. The role of the mother, who we’re just going to assume spends her ordeal slowly loosening up and showing how cool and unexpectedly crass she can be, is still uncast, but Sally Field, Frances Conroy, and Meryl Streep are all apparently being considered.
