Adult Swim has canceled China, IL

It’s a sad day for fans of Adult Swim’s unique brand of weirdo cartoons, as the late-night programming block has decided not to renew China, IL for a fourth season. That news comes straight from China, IL creator Brad Neely, who tweeted that the show is “done forever.” Neely also mentioned his next project, TV Sucks, an animated sketch show which was picked up back in May:

China, IL was about “the worst college in America,” and it ran for 30 episodes, plus some online shorts that aired before the show itself was picked up. In addition to Neely, the show starred Greta Gerwig and Hulk Hogan, which is pretty cool for a cartoon that aired at 1 AM. The hour-long musical episode that aired on June 14 of this year will now be its series finale.
