American Crime Story has its Judge Ito and Denise Brown
With most of the major players now cast in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson—Cuba Gooding Jr. as the Juice, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clarke, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, and Connie Britton as a living Los Angeles cliché, only a couple of big spots remain unfilled. Who will play co-prosecutor Christopher Darden? And what of the judge who presided over the whole sad circus, Lance Ito?
Deadline reports the man that launched a million interminable Jay Leno sketches will be played by Kenneth Choi, perhaps best known for his run as Henry Lin in Sons Of Anarchy. Like Lin’s decision to go after SAMCRO for stealing his heroin in season seven, Ito also made a decision that had disastrous consequences: He’s the one who allowed cameras in the courtroom for Simpson’s trial, helping make it the clusterfuck the world remembers not-so-fondly today.
In other American Crime Story news, Entertainment Weekly reports that Furious 7’s Jordana Brewster will play Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown-Simpson. Somewhere, Kato Kaelin eagerly awaits an offer to play Kato Kaelin.
