An all-star cast goes Into The Spider-Verse in Sony's friendly animated Spider-Man trailer
Donald Glover ended up joining another fictional universe, but the Miles Morales movie nearly a decade in the making finally arrives in theaters this December, albeit in animated form. A new trailer for Sony’s Into The Spider-Verse dropped earlier this morning, showcasing the film’s dynamic, comic book-influenced animation, signature Spider-wit (hi, Phil Lord and Chris Miller), and all-star cast.
Newly announced names include Brian Tyree Henry, prominently featured in the trailer as Miles’ embarrassing cop dad Jefferson; Jake Johnson, also a major player in the trailer as Miles’ wisecracking mentor Peter Parker; and Hailee Steinfeld, who makes a brief appearance in her Spider-Gwen getup. New to the cast but not featured in this trailer are Mahershala Ali as Miles’ uncle Aaron, Luna Lauren Velez as his mom Rio, Lily Tomlin as Peter’s Aunt May, and Liev Schreiber as the villainous Kingpin.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse swings into theaters this Christmas.
