Andrea Arnold is making a movie about door-to-door magazine sales
Having already tackled revenge, teenage desire, and Emily Brontë, British filmmaker Andrea Arnold will be taking the logical next step by making a movie about door-to-door magazine sales. Screen Daily reports that the children’s TV host turned two-time Cannes Jury Prize winner will begin shooting the project, titled American Honey, in the United States this summer, her first American feature. The film, which Arnold researched by spending several months with door-to-door subscription sellers, “will follow a teenage girl who joins a traveling magazine sales crew and gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard-partying, law-bending and young love.”
