In news that promises not to inspire debate or controversy anywhere on the internet, Anne Hathaway has been tapped to portray the divine Miss Judy Garland in an upcoming biopic based on Gerald Clarke's biography of the tragic late actress/gay icon. The Weinstein Company has purchased both the stage and the screen rights to Clarke's book and the headline for the press release promises that Hathaway will star in both the film and play versions of the book.
