Aviator wants you to hear its “Head Noise”

By the sound of “Head Noise,” Aviator has some issues. The song, which is being given its debut here, is a standout track on the Boston band’s upcoming, debut album Head In The Clouds, Hands In The Dirt. It’s a pure, potent exercise in post-hardcore rage, all anguish and angularity—but there’s also a throat-catching edge to frontman TJ Copello’s hoarse holler that hints at a deeper, ingrown anger. It doesn’t exactly ease the mind, but it’s more reflective than its nervy noisiness might imply.
