Batman: Arkham City trailer promises new characters, new moves, old familiar feeling

IGN has debuted the first gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham City, giving fans of the rightfully vaunted Batman: Arkham Asylum a good look at what they can expect when the sequel debuts on October 18, in all its eight-hours-plus of storyline. There are new characters like Catwoman, Hugo Strange, and Two-Face alongside some returning favorites like the Joker and Harley Quinn, and Batman’s familiar game mechanics get a slight upgrade with an impressive dive-and-swoop maneuver, but best of all, it promises to capture the same feeling of what was so special about the original game. (All this, plus a dose of gravitas courtesy of The Heavy’s “Short Change Hero.”) Still no sign of Kite-Man, but otherwise this looks pretty good.
