Belly jumps on the ’90s nostalgia train, promises new music and tour
Belly, the dream-pop band that had a hit with 1993’s “Feed The Tree” and was a staple of mid-‘90s MTV, is reuniting after 20 years, according to Rolling Stone. The band broke up in 1996, a year after its second album, King, failed to match the success of its debut. Frontwoman Tanya Donelly—who had previously been in the Throwing Muses and the Breeders—went on to a decade-long solo career, releasing five albums before walking away from music in 2006 to become a doula.
