Bill Hader developing a show for HBO
Though details are painfully sparse, Deadline reports that Bill Hader recently signed an “exclusive development deal with HBO to create and star in a new comedy.” There’s no word on the format or any other actors who might be on board, but Hader starring in and creating his own comedy show is plenty good news in and of itself.
This is the latest of many projects Hader has been part of since departing Saturday Night Live. On television, Hader will have a recurring role on the IFC comedy American Documentary next year. He’ll also appear in three upcoming films: David Wain’s They Came Together; with fellow SNL alum Kristen Wiig in The Skeleton Twins, and opposite Amy Schumer in the Judd Apatow-directed Trainwreck.
Here’s hoping the mystery HBO series is a peek inside the everyday life of Stefon.
