Bishop
Who he is: Bishop
His power: Much like Sebastian Shaw, Bishop can absorb different types of energy and redirect it in destructive blasts, which can also be shot out of his large gun.
His story: While X-Men: Days Of Future Past doesn’t spend much time explaining who he is, Bishop is the savior of the X-Men. Every time Sentinels attack the X-Men, Bishop is sent back in time to warn the team before its members are massacred. This happens over and over again until the X-Men decide to take a different strategy and send Wolverine back in time, giving Bishop the opportunity to fight and die alongside his mutant brethren before one last timeline refresh. Little else is known about Bishop, but the “M” scar over his eye suggests that he was a prisoner in one of the Sentinels’ mutant camps. With the timeline changes at the end of that film, Bishop’s tragic future will never come to pass.
Played by: Omar Sy
Currently, Bishop is: The new continuity leaves Bishop’s current status a mystery, but he’s definitely not in a mutant death camp or about to get killed by a robot.
Where will we see him next? There are no plans for Bishop to appear in any future film, but given his connection to ’90s X-Men comics, he could reasonably appear in the next X-sequel set in the ’90s.
