Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte plays another disaffected son in Nothing But Thieves’ new video
English alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves released their self-titled debut in the U.K. this past October, but February 5 marked its arrival in the United States. With that comes the video for one of the album’s standout tracks, “If I Get High,” which The A.V Club is premiering below. The video stars RJ Mitte, who came to be known as “Walt Jr.” thanks to his turn on Breaking Bad. The video treads familiar territory for Mitte, as he navigates another fractured familial relationship while hoping for some sort of escape. It matches the band’s calls for escape that occur throughout “If I Get High,” making for a video that’s depressingly effective at every turn.
