The long-running feud between Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote will continue this fall, thanks to a new cartoon being developed for the cable channel Boomerang. Variety reports that Warner Bros. Animation is creating a series of original shorts, dubbed Wabbit – A Looney Tunes Production, featuring the wascally character facing off with nemeses like Yosemite Sam. Wabbit is part of a massive influx of original programming slated for Boomerang, which was launched as a standalone network in 2000 but so far has only aired reruns. Other new shows will include a new Scooby-Doo reboot called Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! and an animated comedy based on the vampiric rabbit Bunnicula.
