Two seasons’ worth of references and Gator homages have finally paid off for FX’s Archer, which has just announced that the upcoming season will see the self-centered super-spy paid a visit by his movie idol, Burt Reynolds. According to the press release, Reynolds will play himself in “The Man From Jupiter”— a reference to Reynolds’ longtime home (and site of The Burt Reynolds Museum!) in Jupiter, Florida—and will begin dating Archer’s mother, “much to his dismay.” Above is what Burt Reynolds looks like in animated form, a sop to those who have long been denied a Stroker Ace cartoon.
