CBS cancels How To Be A Gentleman

CBS has put an end to How To Be A Gentleman, the sitcom in which Dave Foley, Rhys Darby, and Mary Lynn Rajskub languished in the background while Kevin Dillon did leftover Entourage jokes. As Entertainment Weekly notes, it’s the highest-rated show of the new fall season to get canceled: Though it was recently banished from its plum, post-Big Bang Theory spot to Saturday nights, it was still pulling in a 7.8 million share in its last outing—numbers that, were they for an NBC sitcom, would be cause for a full-page congratulatory ad in Variety. But that’s simply not good enough for CBS, and so now you’ll never know how to be a gentleman, and how it comically compares and contrasts to being a real man who works out and has sex with ladies.
